5 Rules of Layering Your Skincare Review!

1. Cleanse First: Wet face with tepid water (lukewarm) then use a good quarter size dollop of cleanser, lightly massage, massage, massage into face, gently around eyes, face and neck, then use a warm wash cloth to remove makeup and grim then rinse and repeat.

2. Toner Yes!: Use toner to remove last trace amounts of make-up and grim on a cotton pad gently, plus the toner balances your PH. A toner also allows the serum to penetrate better and you will also have less problem with bacteria issues! Finish with a couple sprays to your face, let dry, and then add your serum.

3. Start Light: Serums deliver active ingredients into the skin most efficiently because of the smaller molecules.

Take a break and let it dry for a minute or so.

4. Lock It Down: Moisturizer is key to any layering routine because "it seals the serum into your skin and hydrates all day" plus gives the skin a layer of protection from the elements and bacteria.

5. Add a Face Oil: Oil can make skin radiant! Put it on after your moisturizer or in place of moisturizer. As a rule oil can penetrate moisturizers but not vice versa.

1. First and foremost, not all face oils are alike. Natural and organic carrier oils and essential oils such as herbs and flowers are #1!
2. Never use mineral oil, synthetic or chemical oils or essential oils. Many synthetic ingredients are hidden in face oils.
3. Applying in the correct order is one of the most important steps in seeing amazing, glowing results. Always apply your face oil as the very last layer, this seals in all your other yummy products and hydrates your skin for that beautiful glow!
4. On clean hands add a couple drops of face oil and rub to warm the oil. Next "push" the oil into your skin never rub it in, rubbing causes stretching and pulling of the skin and that's the last thing we all want. Also, you can hold your hands on your face for a couple seconds which aids in the face oil penetration, plus it feels so good!
5. Figure out what is best for you. If you have naturally oil skin then maybe applying your face oil after your toner is best. If you have dry skin then applying after your moisturizer might be best and the same for normal skin types.

 Remember, you are an individual with your own individual skin, so it is ok to play   
 around with your products until you find the right combination for you. Just always
 use naturally potent and properly formulated products for ultimate results!

"Bedtime Skincare Routine That is a French Secret!"
In America, we have a tendency to pile on lotions and potions to our skin before we go to bed, hoping it will look amazing in the morning. Here are the steps to a "French secret" that will probably surprise you! 
1. Cleanse your skin twice, yes twice and always with a creme cleanser. The first time with a wash cloth and tepid (lukewarm) water, then the second time mix a couple drops of face oil in with your cleanser or just face oil no cleanser and massage gently for a minute or two. Use a Clarisonic next (a wash cloth if you don't have one) and finish with a tepid (lukewarm) water and a clean wash cloth.
2. Spray your face with a toner.
3. Add your face serum as the last step. That's it, nothing else! The skin needs to breathe, heal and calm while you sleep (you know, that beauty rest thing).
4. In the morning cleanse, tone, serum, moisturizer and or face oil.
5. Yes, this is shocking but it works wonders for your beautiful skin!
