"What You Want is Thick, Juicy Skin, Juicy is Young Skin!"

April 27, 2016 Rebecca Siegfried

 Bon Matin!!!

Good Morning!!!

“What You Want is Thick, Juicy Skin, Juicy is Young Skin!”

Remember a couple of posts ago we mentioned how the chemicals we put on our face sends it into overdrive causing it to age at a rapid rate and doing the opposite of what we want or what we are told?

Ok, here we go getting all serious about chemical ingredients but to be quite honest with you we really do care about you and your skin and we are always looking for high performing ingredients like the ones in Dr. Lucy that work naturally hard for you without the chemicals!

Here is some well documented information on these drugs and what they can do to your skin and how Retinoids, Retin-A, Renova, Tazorac and Retinols (retinols are over the counter while Retinoids are by prescription) are actually very toxic and quite honestly dangerous to the integrity of your skin and to you!

First Always Remember Here at Dr. Lucy Pure Natural Skincare We Are Against Retinoids and their Relatives and Here Are a Few Very Important Reasons Why:

For years, prescription retinoids for the face have been assumed to be the best anti-aging products by smoothing wrinkles, speed cell turnover, fade sunspots and build collagen. But now there are claims that they can also thin the skin and cause chronic inflammation (peeling, lobster-red faces), actually leading to premature aging.

“It doesn’t matter if it gives you 10% less of a wrinkle-that’s so microscopic, our eyes can’t distinguish it.” Says Dr. Michelle Yagoda New York City facial plastic surgeon. She goes on to say, retinoids are easy to prescribe, so patients are rarely offered an alternative. While most experts agree that retinoids do produce quick results, many claim they might not be worth it. “Sure, your discolorations and lines might be getting a little better,” says Simon Erani, lead researcher for the skincare company Somme Institute,” but you’re not noticing how your skin looks papery and thin.” Erani believes any inflammation (detected in his subsurface skin photos of people who’d been using retinoids for at least eight weeks) will damage skin in the long run. New York City aesthetician Susan Ciminelli says she can spot retinoid users right away: “Their skin looks brittle because it has lost its cushion.” She believes that retinoids strip the skin, while the path to a youthful glow involves adding natural moisture and emollients. “What you want is thick, juice skin.” She says, “Juicy is young skin.”

 The Bottom Line:

Avoid anything that makes your skin irritated, red or flaky which includes retinoids or retinols and use natural, calming, potent and plumping skin care. The point is to soften not deepen those lines, after all.

Facial Serum vs. Facial Moisturizer!

April 22, 2016 Rebecca Siegfried

Welcome to French Friday!!!

Francais Vendredi!!!

Facial Serum vs. Facial Moisturizer

While facial serums can give you added moisture, the main reason you'd want to use a facial serum is to get added nutrients into deeper layers of your skin that a regular moisturizer is not able to reach. You can get many types of serums such as anti-aging serums, skin brightening serums and even acne preventative serums. You apply the serum after your toner and before your moisturizer.

Moisturizers have all those lovely humectants that not only act as a skin feeding product but also a constant moisture producing, balancing, skin brightening barrier to the outside elements to protect your skin from aging faster.

A moisturizer has larger molecules than a serum. This means that a moisturizer will not penetrate the skin as deep as a serum will. While serums deposit nutrients, moisturizers are meant to deposit moisture and hydration your skin.

Why You Should Use a Serum

While it’s true that every product in your routine should contain a skin-pleasing array of antioxidants and cell-communicating ingredients, you should have higher expectations of your serums.

Why?

Because the best serums are concentrated with anti-aging ingredients, there just simply isn’t as much room for in a moisturizer.

Serums differ from moisturizers in that they don’t "make room" for traditional emollients or thickeners—these are the ingredients that create a lotion or rich cream texture. Likewise, serums won’t contain sunscreen actives like a daytime moisturizer would. Instead, serums use that extra space to pack in other beneficial ingredients or even more antioxidants than any other product in your routine.

Serums Have Greater Anti-Aging Benefits the Longer You Use Them

The real benefits when using a serum comes from sticking with your serum day in and day out. While you will likely see some improvements right away (as their antioxidant-rich formula soothes redness and brightens skin), over the long term you’ll see signs of damage fade and skin will look and feel healthier and firmer, too!

You Can Never Be Too Young to Start Using a Serum

Today is a good day to start using a serum loaded with these types of impressive ingredients before signs of damage occur (it's never too soon) and you'll be on track for a more even complexion and firmer, healthier skin as you age. Your skin never "gets used" to these types of ingredients, just like your body never gets used to eating healthy foods!

It’s Your Skin…Feed It, Love It, Live in It!!!

                                              Merci!

Skin Care: 5 tips for Healthy Skin

Good skin care — including sun protection and gentle cleansing — can keep your skin healthy and glowing!

Don't have time for intensive skin care? You can still pamper yourself by acing the basics. Good skin care and healthy lifestyle choices can help delay the natural aging process and prevent various skin problems. Get started with these no-nonsense tips.

1. Protect Yourself from the Sun

One of the most important ways to take care of your skin is to protect it from the sun. A lifetime of sun exposure can cause wrinkles, age spots and other skin problems — as well as increase the risk of skin cancer.

For the most complete sun protection:

Use sunscreen. Use a broad-spectrum sunscreen with an SPF of at least 15. Apply sunscreen generously, and reapply every two hours — or more often if you're swimming or perspiring.

Seek shade. Avoid the sun between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., when the sun's rays are strongest.

Wear protective clothing. Cover your skin with tightly woven long-sleeved shirts, long pants and wide-brimmed hats. Also consider laundry additives, which give clothing an additional layer of ultraviolet protection for a certain number of washings, or special sun-protective clothing — which is specifically designed to block ultraviolet rays.

2. Don't Smoke

Smoking makes your skin look older and contributes to wrinkles. Smoking narrows the tiny blood vessels in the outermost layers of skin, which decreases blood flow. This depletes the skin of oxygen and nutrients that are important to skin health.

Smoking also damages collagen and elastin — the fibers that give your skin strength and elasticity. In addition, the repetitive facial expressions you make when smoking — such as pursing your lips when inhaling and squinting your eyes to keep out smoke — can contribute to wrinkles.

If you smoke, the best way to protect your skin is to quit. Ask your doctor for tips or treatments to help you stop smoking.

3. Treat Your Skin Gently Because Daily Cleansing Can Take It's Toll.

Limit Bath Time. Hot water and long showers or baths remove oils from your skin. Limit your bath or shower time, and use warm — rather than hot — water.

Avoid Strong Soaps. Strong soaps and detergents can strip oil from your skin. Instead, choose mild cleansers.

Shave carefully. To protect and lubricate your skin, apply shaving cream, lotion or gel before shaving. For the closest shave, use a clean, sharp razor. Shave in the direction the hair grows, not against it.

Pat Dry. After washing or bathing, gently pat or blot your skin dry with a towel so that some moisture remains on your skin.

Moisturize Your Skin. Keep your skin well hydrated with a natural moisturizer.

4. Eat a Healthy Diet

A healthy diet can help you look and feel your best. Eat plenty of fruits, vegetables, whole grains and lean proteins. Some research suggests that a diet rich in vitamin C and low in unhealthy fats and processed or refined carbohydrates might promote younger looking skin.

5. Manage Stress

Uncontrolled stress can make your skin more sensitive and trigger acne breakouts and other skin problems. To encourage healthy skin — and a healthy state of mind — take steps to manage your stress. Set reasonable limits, scale back your to-do list and make time to do some of the things you enjoy. The results might be more dramatic than you expect with lots of happy spaces in our heads!

7 Things That Happen When You Don't Moisturize Your Face! Oh Moin Dieu!

April 4, 2016 Rebecca Siegfried

7 Things That Happen When You Don't Moisturize Your Face! Oh Moin Dieu!

Not a fan of wrinkles? You can't afford to skip this step.

Everyone knows that moisturizing your skin is important, but do you know why? The obvious answer is that your skin can get dry, but there are other ill effects that you need to know.

1. You could develop more wrinkles.

That's right: Leaving moisturizer out of your routine today could lead to deeper wrinkles later on. "When the skin barrier is compromised, which is what we see when it becomes dry, there's actually a low-grade chronic inflammation that occurs in the skin," warns dermatologist Dr. Whitney Bowe. "Low levels of ongoing inflammation ultimately lead to a breakdown of collagen and accelerated aging."

2. The wrinkles you already have will look even worse.

Yes, going sans moisturizer can make your current lines look, well, less fine. "Dehydrated skin shows all the lines," says Dr. Bowe. Want them to be less prominent? Dr. Bowe recommends plumping up your skin with a moisturizer containing hyaluronic acid.

3. Your complexion will appear dull and flaky — especially if it's cold outside.

"In the winter, humidity levels plummet, and the dry air can dehydrate your skin and strip it of lipids, which are part of its protective outer layer — so irritants can enter more easily and cause redness and flaking," says Debra Jaliman, M.D., a dermatologist in New York City and author of Skin Rules.

 4. It will aggravate your acne.

Sounds counterintuitive, but moisturizer really is your friend if you have blemishes. "Dryness can actually make your acne worse," says Dr. Debbie Palmer, dermatologist

5. You lose a layer of protection.

I personally never recommend retinoids, salicyclic acid, or benzoyl peroxide, but if you do use them you should always follow up with a moisturizer because you risk uncomfortable side effects like red and peeling skin.

 6. Your makeup won't look so flawless.

You know those little lines under your eyes where your concealer creases? Those will look worse if you don't hydrate your face before applying base makeup. "Makeup sticks to dry areas on the skin and even seeps into fine lines," warns Dr. Bowe. For best results, she recommends waiting about five minutes before using foundation so your moisturizer or primer can properly absorb. Bonus tip: Use a lip balm before putting on lipstick for long-lasting color.

7. Your skin will itch like crazy.

You know that tight feeling your skin has when you've just gotten out of the shower? Imagine that — all day long. And if all the other reasons aren't enough for you to slather on some moisture, just thinking about this should do the trick.

Some of Our Information is Just Worth Repeating!!!

                          Welcome to French Friday!!!

                                Francais Vendredi!!!

Some of Our Information is Just Worth Repeating!

As the Saying Goes, “Repetition is the Mother of Knowledge”, or the French Version, “La répétition est la mère de la mémoire.”

                                 “Le Chemin Francais”

"The French Way Is Different and So Is the Dr. Lucy Skin Care Way…."

The Dr. Lucy Skin Care line has been developed and modeled after those same top natural French skin care lines to be gentle, healing, and botanically based. Bring out the best in your skin; bring back its youthfulness, plumpness, glow and tone! Let your skin breathe and stop sending it into overdrive with chemical and pharmaceutical skin care. Let your skin truly come back to life!

“View Your Beauty Routine like the French”

French women value having beautiful skin and put a big emphasis on using the best skin care products. It is rather obvious due to how many facial salons there are, not only in the big city of Paris, but also the small villages around the country. They practically have as many skin care salons as we in the United States have nail salons. Monthly facials are a regular part of a woman’s life in France. In the U.S. we are so busy with our lives that we do not take the time to relax and care for ourselves with a nice pampering facial. Balancing our life and caring for your skin with natural and organic top of the line skin care products is a must to keep your skin youthful and glowing.

If You Had to Live on a Desert Island What Would You Take???

Dr. Lucy Skin Care Products of Course!

We are 100% natural beings inside and out so what goes into the body and onto the body and face should be 100% natural!

“Skin Care Lasts a Lifetime, While Makeup Lasts a Day”
American women tend to see skin care from a clinical point of view, while French women often consider their time with their skin care a pleasurable ritual that plays a part in their day. The French philosophy on beauty is simply to make looking great and aging well a part of their daily life. They do that by pampering their skin with the most beneficial ingredients Mother Nature has to offer. French women see their skin care as an investment in themselves and will buy more skin care products than makeup. The philosophy is that skin care lasts a lifetime, while makeup lasts a day.

I am a strong advocate of natural skin care and beauty products. French skin care lines use many more natural botanicals and essential oils than those is the U.S. They are also gentler. American’s have an unfortunate perception that a beauty product only works if you can feel it working. Due in part to this perception, many American skin care companies pack their products with harsh, inactive ingredients that do little more than cause irritated skin. Just remember chemicals with smaller molecules can enter the blood stream through your skin and thus your systems and organs. The average woman applies 200 chemicals through cosmetics and skin care products alone during the course of the day. I think you will agree that is a very high number!

Remember, You Will Have Your Skin Your Whole Life!

Welcome to French Friday!!!

Francais Vendredi!!!

"Oh Mon Dieu!,  Mes Croissants Sont Enfeu!"

"Oh My Gosh!,  My Croissants Are Burning!"

Always remember that your skin is not replaceable and that you will have it for your whole life!

                         Beautiful, Heathy Skin!

                          Peau de Belle Santé!

Skin is like a body guard

The primary job of your skin is to offer protection against environmental hazards, like germs and UV radiations. The acid mantle of the skin plays an important role in preventing bacteria from attacking the skin and causing infections. Clean the dirt, oil and makeup from the skin using cleansers and never forget to moisturize.

Skin is like a sponge

The outer layer of skin is designed in a way to repel water. However, it can also absorb oily substances that easily penetrate in between the cells. You must ensure that the skin products you use have ingredients that are safe for your skin to absorb. Pick from natural and organic products which have plant-based antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties.

Skin is like a raincoat

The cells of our skin need water but, if the surface of the skin does not have a waterproof effect, all the water in the skin would evaporate and the cells would die. To prevent the drying, apply body oil after a shower when your skin is still damp and seal the moisture into the skin.

Skin is like a manufacturing plant

Your skin synthesizes chemicals. There are chemical reactions taking place in the cells which keeps the cells regenerating, repairing damage and also converting sunlight into vitamin D. Thus, your skin care products must have active ingredients that can stimulate skin cell renewal.

Skin is like a thermostat

Your skin can regulate body temperature. When the body temperature rises, the skin can cool down the entire bodies by sweating and also increasing blood flow. And when the body feels cold, the diameter of the blood vessels decreases and reduces blood flow, retaining heat in the body.

Beautiful skin does not take much to get back, but just a few good products and good habits of commitment. So just in time for the warmer weather, it does not take long to start treating your skin with kindness and in return, softness and beauty will be yours to show off. A little effort will go along ways and your glow will show!

It is true that French women have a natural flair for beauty, But it is not true that it comes magically. It's a routine, constant practice. Like sports, you become really good with regular practice...years of regular routine.

The routine begins early. "We are taught about art and art history very early in school," she says. "Commenting on paintings, sculptures, music trends, architecture, furniture, clothes, etc. Beauty is simply part of our background from a very early age. It starts from the crib. Says Catherine Masraff.

4 Ways to Age Like a French Woman

1.Keep it natural: Heavy makeup emphasizes wrinkles and pores. A little blush, mascara and lip color are all most Frenchwomen use. They spend a lot on skin care and beauty products, but not always on the most expensive brands.

2.No soap: They use lotions and hydrating creams for the face (and body), often applied with a cosmetics sponge that provides enough abrasiveness to remove dead cells but not hurt delicate skin.

3.The wonder of water: Frenchwomen swear by cold-water rinses – after face-cleaning, shampoo or shower. They say it improves circulation, bringing all-important oxygen to the skin cells.

4. Diet: Women of a certain age maintain their weight by eating carefully: fresh, never-processed, foods, especially fruits and vegetables, in small portions.

 Cellular Regeneration! Wow!!!

Cellular regeneration is the key to a youthful skin and essential oils and natural ingredients provide a way of doing this. The nutrients and proteins in essential oils help to maintain the mattress-like bounciness of collagen, upon which the outer layers of skin rest and encourage the regeneration of new cells. The circulation-stimulating properties of the oils oxygenate the blood which in turn energizes the cells, allowing regeneration to take place. Certain oils do this particularly well. Other oils contain hormonal-like properties, and these encourage the firming of the skin, giving it a more youthful appearance.

Essential oils, carrier oils and natural ingredients work cosmetically and as anti-aging agents in several ways. They stimulate skin cells into reproducing at a quicker rate, thus reducing the time lag between new skin growth and the elimination of old cells. This helps reverse the aging process that normally extends this lag time.

When essential oils, carrier oils and natural ingredients are applied, about 60% is absorbed through the skin into the blood stream and carried through the whole body, helping to balance its natural functions. When chemically analyzed, each essential oil contains many, often hundreds of synergistic compounds and each compound has a different therapeutic effect.

Remember – we need to be careful with what we put into our bodies to keep our digestive system working well and our skin cells young and renewed. If we can cut ten years from our appearance we’ll feel ten years younger, have more energy, and even our outlook on life will change.

So For "Une Belle Peau!", Beautiful Skin!!!

March 16, 2016 Rebecca Siegfried

“Prevention is the Key to Beautiful Skin”

Following a good home care routine is very important to the French. They know that how they care for their skin today paves the road for the future health of their skin. They religiously care for their skin at home and practice good skin care habits, washing their face every morning and evening using gentle botanically based/filled cleansers, toners, serums, moisturizers and face oils.

Prevention is the Key:

French women in general take their skin care regimen seriously from an early age. This gives them a huge upper hand when it comes to aging and theyare serious about every step in their skin care routine from milky luxurious cleansers instead of soap and gels and toners for balancing the PH of their skin so the products penetrate and work optimally, serums to get nutrients into the deeper layers with their smaller molecules and moisturizers and face oils to deposit moisture, hydrate and heal the skin, not to mention masques and scrubs to remove the old dead cells, tighten pores and reveal the new plump young cells. So instead of waiting for aging to begin and then fighting it with potentially irritating and dangerous ingredients that put your skin into overdrive in a damaging way, they employ a routine that slows and softens the effects of aging long before they begin. Just remember it is never ever too late to start your preventive, skin changing routine. Now is the perfect time to begin!

So for “Une Belle Peau”, Beautiful Skin:

.For the French, part of preventive skin care is eating whole foods. Your skin is an organ – you’re largest in fact – and everything you eat and drink affects it. Fresh organic vegetables and unprocessed foods help your skin stay clear and healthy. So for “Une Belle Peau”, beautiful skin, stick to whole foods, lots of vegetables and plenty of water for happy, glowing skin!

                                           "La Vie Est Belle!"

                                           "Life Is Beautiful!"

The Shock of Aging Happens to All of Us!

March 14, 2016 Rebecca Siegfried

The Shock of Aging Happens to All of Us!

We begin our search for a magical fountain of youth. There is nothing wrong with our genuine attempts to put our best foot forward and improve our aging process. The sad part comes when fortune hunters and the marketers present false or misleading claims and we are too gullible.

Dr. Lucy Products are loaded with Jojoba Oil and Here Are Some of the Reasons We Love This Little Seed… Oh Let Me Count the Ways!!!

*What is so amazing is the similarity in molecular structure between jojoba oil and sebum.

*Jojoba oil is also naturally rich in vitamins A, B1, B2, B6 and E, all of which are incredibly nourishing for the skin. Vitamin A is known to be an excellent wrinkle fighter while Vitamin E is used to minimize scaring in the skin.

*Jojoba Oil actually dissolves the sebum that clogs your pores, which helps give you relief from acne and allows your skin to breathe more effectively.

*The oil is wonderful for people who suffer from sensitive skin conditions, including psoriasis and eczema. It helps soften your skin and when applied to your hair will increase its shine.

*It is also known to help reduce wrinkles and other lines associated with aging. In addition, it helps promote the growth of new skin cells. It even has some anti-bacterial qualities too.

*Since Jojoba Oil is so similar to sebum, when applied to the skin it can help to reduce sebum production.

*Sebum is produced to waterproof and moisturize the skin. WhenJojoba Oil is applied, the skin registers that sufficient oil is present therefore less sebum (your own skin oil) is released making skin less oily!

*In addition Jojoba Oil is both antibacterial and anti-fungal. Therefore, by reducing sebum production and prohibiting bacteria growth, Jojoba Oil can really assist in the reduction of pimples and acne!

Jojoba Oil: Is this oil really the secret to smooth, hydrated skin?

Extracted from the seed of the jojoba tree (which is native to states in the Southwestern U.S.), jojoba oil is actually not oil at all but rather a waxy substance that is very similar to human skin oil, also known as sebum. Because it's so similar to our skin's natural oil, it is thought that jojoba oil can "trick" the skin into thinking it's producing enough oil, which helps balance oil production [Source: Acne.org]. "Jojoba oil is rich in natural fats that mimic those in the outer layer of the skin," explains Joshua Zeichner, M.D., director of cosmetic and clinical research at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York City. "This means it can help the skin retain moisture and heal itself."

MYTHS and TRUTHS About What WE Are Putting On Our Face!!!

March 11, 2016 Rebecca Siegfried

“WOW!”, “Dis-Done!”

MYTHS and TRUTHS About What WE Are Putting On Our Face!!!

Myths and Truths About Skin Care Products…

Myth: Expensive skincare is better than inexpensive.

Spending less doesn't always hurt your skin, and spending more doesn't always help it. Again, it's all about the formulation, concentration and potency of ingredients and getting the products as close to organic as possible.

Myth: It's good when your products cool or tingle skin.

Fact: This sensation is your skin telling you it is being irritated, not helped.

Counter-irritants are used to induce local inflammation in an effort to reduce inflammation in deeper or adjacent tissues. In other words, they substitute one kind of inflammation for another, which is never good for skin. Irritation or inflammation, no matter what causes it or how it happens, impairs the skin's immune and healing response. And although your skin may not show it or doesn't react in an irritated fashion, if you apply irritants to your skin the damage is still taking place and is ongoing, so it adds up over time (Experimental Dermatology, 2009 and Dermato-Endocrinology, 2011).

Myth: Use the products you like, regardless of what they contain.

Fact: Lots of people have problems with their skin because they often like what isn't good for skin.

That means jar packaging will not keep these ingredients stable, and so you would be short-changing your skin soon after the product is opened (think about how long a head of lettuce lasts in your refrigerator). What it takes to help your skin be at its best and to function normally and really fight wrinkles or acne or any other skin problem is far more complex than just using what you "like." This doesn't mean that you shouldn't like what you use, but do take the time to select from among products that are truly healthy and beneficial for skin. That is, take the time to read the ingredient list, because you can't determine the benefits intuitively.

“ DR. LUCY FACE OIL REALLY IS A POWERFUL MIRACLE LIQUID!!!”

                                                                      Virginia G.

Face Oil is not the hot new thing and has been around for centuries but in the last few years it has become more mainstream than ever before and here are a few good reasons why!

*Our skin secretes its own oil as a natural defense, but you can think of face oil as your skin’s personal bodyguard.

*Plant-based oils mimic the natural oils that your skin secretes. As an added bonus, face oils are also free of irritating additives and fragrances. For this reason, they are free to calm and rejuvenate as they hydrate.

*In addition to treating acne-prone skin, face oils also reduce the appearance of fine line and wrinkles because they plump skin cells and make them look fuller.

*Face oils can also help with the absorption of other products you apply after them, like your serum.

*In your late 30s, wrinkles suddenly look deeper because the skin's natural oils decrease, the moisture barrier breaks down, and the skin dries out. Most creams contain a little oil, but not enough to make a big difference in water loss. Because oils are lipophilic, or fat loving, they pass though the lipid layer of the skin faster, preventing water loss and plumping skin with moisture more effectively.

To apply the face oil, put a few drops onto your hand and rub the product around, then gently pat it and push it gently into your skin–don’t rub it!

"Your Skin Needs Moisture To Stay Healthy, Oui!!!"

March 7, 2016 Rebecca Siegfried

The Sad Truth is that a lot of people do not understand just how important it is to use High Quality Moisturizing Products.

Just to name a few reasons:

*They help with anti-aging.

*Fighting the already apparent signs of aging.

*Protecting against Free radicals.

*Protecting against environmental damage.

*Helps draw moisture to your skin.

*Helps create a good foundation for makeup application.

So Keep Your Skin Beautiful, Dewy and Healthy By Saying a Big “YES” to a High Quality Natural Moisturizer! Oui!

Why Hyaluronic Acid Is Seriously Good For You!

Hyaluronic acid may not be the newest or flashiest ingredient out there, but it’s tried and true and seriously good for your skin. First off, don’t let the word “acid” fool you. Hyaluronic acid isn’t harsh or skin-stripping at all. In fact, it’s the exact opposite – a powerful humectant (aka moisture-binding ingredient) that keeps skin plump and hydrated and, yes, young-looking as talked about on Dr. Oz’s.

Know how a baby’s skin always looks so deliciously dewy and pillowy? It’s because babies are born with a high level of hyaluronic acid, which keeps their skin plump and smooth. Hyaluronic acid helps increases hydration, improves elasticity and also reverses free radical damage and every skin type can benefit besides, hyaluronic acid molecules' unique ability to attract and retain more than 1,000 times their weight in water. One thousand! That means plump, beautiful, hydrated skin!

Why Use Dr. Lucy Ultra Moisturizer?

83% Organic

"Serums Give Life To Skin!" "Serums Visage Donnet Vie De Peau!"

March 4, 2016 Rebecca Siegfried

What is a Serum and Do I Need One???

A Thousand Times Yes!

It's a beauty misconception that serums are just a more expensive form of skin moisturizer. Yes, the price is more per ounce than your average skin care product, but that's because you're getting more concentrated ingredients (and deeper-penetrating effects).

Why use it? A serum is your go-to product to improve the overall look and texture of your complexion. The active ingredient can bring antioxidants to the skin, restore cell growth, or help decrease pore size. Plus serums contain the most potent dose of anti-aging ingredients like antioxidants, peptides and skin brighteners!

How does it work? Moisturizers have a base that allows them to stay on the surface to moisturize the outer portion of the skin, but a serum has smaller molecules to penetrate deeper into the skin layers  that allows the active ingredient to actually penetrate into the epidermis.

How do you apply it? Use about a pea-sized amount of serum for the face and neck, applying the product about two minutes after your cleanser (not on wet skin). Hydrated cells allow the active ingredient to penetrate better than dried cells.

Why Use Dr. Lucy Serum?

Serum: Hydrating 2 in 1 (face and under eye)

 83% Organic

This is designed for dry, normal, oil, combination, aging and chaotic skin types. It soothes and calms skin while feeding the skin with aloe, rooibos, DMAE, antioxidants, MSM and Hyaluronic Acid giving it super hydration and glowing skin plus the smaller molecules mean deeper skin layer penetration.

Have A Happy Day!!!
